Foot Pain: Common Causes and Conditions

Your feet carry your whole body weight every step you take, so foot pain has a way of shaping the rest of your day: how far you'll walk, which shoes you can stand, whether training happens at all.

Where it hurts narrows it down fast. Heel pain, pain through the middle of the foot, and pain across the ball of the foot are three different problems with three different plans, and a child's sore heel is different again.

Start with whichever description below sounds most like yours.

Not sure which one fits?

Feet overlap more than most regions, and a foot can carry more than one of these at once. Working out which one is driving your pain is what an assessment is for. The hands-on side of how we treat this region is explained on our Manual Therapy page.

If none of the above matches, head back to the Injury Finder and start from wherever it hurts.
