Pain changes lives. Understanding changes the story.
We don’t treat symptoms. We investigate stories.

Experience

Ahmed’s career runs from treating athletes at sports and wellness facilities, to paediatric outpatients at a private paediatrics centre, to leading the physical therapy department of a 250-bed hospital. He then worked as a senior physiotherapist at a private practice clinic before founding Well Motion in Australia. That’s inpatient and outpatient acute care, trauma and tertiary hospitals, Sports Physiotherapy and complex Paediatric Physiotherapy cases, not a single-clinic career. In 2023 he was named Therapist of the Year by the practice he worked at before founding Well Motion, recognised for exceptional patient care.

Expertise

A Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Cairo University underpins a scope spanning musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Chronic Pain Management, Neurological Physiotherapy, Paediatric Physiotherapy and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation. Ahmed’s early career was shaped by a private trauma and tertiary care hospital, the kind of environment that sharpens clinical judgment fast, treating everything from acute trauma presentations to complex post-surgical cases under real pressure. He’s a certified Dry Needling practitioner through DGSA (David G. Simons Academy), a Swiss-accredited program, with hands-on expertise across Manual Therapy, Sports Taping, and Exercise Prescription and Conditioning (strength & conditioning included).

Qualifications & Registration

Ahmed is registered across multiple healthcare systems that each independently vetted his clinical standing, including AHPRA (Australia), the HCPC (UK), and the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand. He’s a SIRA accredited physiotherapist, cleared to treat NSW workers compensation and CTP claims through our WorkCover & CTP Physiotherapy service. He was assigned Head of a hospital physical therapy department, where he built its organisational structure, protocols, quality and safety systems, and staff training program from the ground up.

How Ahmed Likes to Work with His Patients

Ahmed starts every plan with a real assessment, not a default protocol, and he’ll tell you plainly when something’s going to take time, or when a treatment doesn’t have the evidence behind it to justify using it. He treats in both English and Arabic, so nothing gets lost between what you’re actually experiencing and what gets treated. Complex, unresolved cases are where he does his best work, not cases he’d rather avoid. If you haven’t found answers elsewhere, you’re exactly who he built this practice for.

This is the same standard behind every Well Motion consultation, not just Ahmed’s own. See The Whole-Person Approach for how it plays out session to session.

Explained Before It’s Treated

Ahmed explains everything before he treats anything: the diagnosis, the reasoning behind each exercise, what a realistic week-by-week trajectory looks like, and when it’s time to push versus when it’s time to back off. Nothing is done to you without you knowing why. That clarity is the foundation of trust, and it’s the standard every Well Motion consultation is held to.

Why Well Motion Exists

Most of the patients who come to Well Motion have already tried everything: doctors, specialists, physios, scans, injections, sometimes surgery. They’re still stuck. Not just physically. They’ve stopped asking if this can actually be fixed, and started quietly building their life around the limitation.

That’s the gap Well Motion was built to close. Pain doesn’t just restrict movement. It shrinks a person’s world. The dad who stops playing in the park. The tradie who starts doubting his own body at work. The person who scrolled past the sport they loved for years, because getting back to it felt further away every time. What gets lost isn’t just function. It’s identity, confidence, and the belief that things can actually be different.

Every patient at Well Motion is fully heard, thoroughly assessed, and given the thing this practice was built around: a clear explanation of what’s wrong, why it hasn’t improved yet, and exactly what the plan is from here, including what we do next if it doesn’t respond the way we expect. Not the comfortable answer. The real one.

Well Motion was built for people who have already tried treatment and still don’t have answers, on the belief that a clear explanation and a proper plan are the place to start. The goal isn’t to manage pain forever. It’s to go after the life the injury took, with a plan built for exactly that.
