Mobile & After-Hours Physio in Liverpool, NSW
No clinic on your street doesn't mean no option. Well Motion doesn't run a walk-in clinic in Liverpool. We come to you. A physiotherapist arrives at your home, your workplace or wherever you train, brings the assessment and treatment equipment a proper session needs, and works through the same structured, root-cause approach our patients get in our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics.
Liverpool is a young, family-heavy part of south-west Sydney: around 233,446 people, a median age of 34, and couple families with children making up 55.8% of all families in the local government area 1. That shapes how we work here. Sessions get built around school runs, shift rosters and the pace of a household that doesn't stop, not around whether you can find a park near a clinic at 2pm on a Tuesday.
What a mobile physiotherapy visit in Liverpool looks like
A first visit runs like a full clinic appointment, just in your space. We talk through what happened and what you're trying to get back to, assess properly, treat hands-on where that's the right call, and leave you with a plan you can do between sessions, not a printout of generic exercises.
Access is the one local detail to sort out before we arrive. Just under three-quarters of dwellings in the Liverpool area are separate houses, with about one in six being a flat or apartment 1, and the apartment stock sits mostly around the Liverpool CBD and the rail corridor. For a house it's usually driveway-and-front-door and we need nothing from you. For a unit, tell us the buzzer or intercom details and whether there's lift access when you book, and we'll plan the visit around it.
You can read the full service detail on our Mobile & In-Home Physiotherapy page. If something's happened outside normal hours and you can't wait, our 24/7 after-hours emergency mobile service comes out to Liverpool after hours, on Sundays and on public holidays. Call (02) 8111 5633, answered 24/7.
Coming home from Liverpool Hospital
Liverpool Hospital sits on Elizabeth Drive in Liverpool 2170 3,4 and is currently mid-way through a $930 million redevelopment under the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct, with construction expected to finish in 2028 5. It also hosts a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, one of only three adult inpatient brain injury rehabilitation units in metropolitan Sydney, whose community services cover the South Western Sydney district 3.
We're not affiliated with the hospital and we don't replace the care you receive there. We pick up where a discharge letter stops. If you or someone you care for is coming home with mobility goals, a rehabilitation plan or complex needs that need follow-through, a physiotherapist coming to the house removes the part that most often derails it: getting there. Where that support is funded through a participant's plan, see NDIS Physiotherapy.
Areas We Cover
Liverpool proper, postcode 2170, including the CBD, the areas around Liverpool Hospital and the residential streets either side of the rail line.
If you're closer to one of the surrounding suburbs, each now has its own coverage page with detail specific to that area: Casula, Moorebank, Prestons, Leppington, Lurnea and Middleton Grange. You can see everywhere we travel on our service areas page.
NDIS & WorkCover Support
Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider, provider number 4-KPN4WRT. We work with participants and support coordinators directly, and we can work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed funding. If you're still working out what your plan can fund, Settlement Services International is the Local Area Coordination partner for this part of Sydney and covers the Liverpool area, with an office at Level 1, 45-47 Scott Street, Liverpool 2170 2, a useful first stop if you're not yet connected to a coordinator. Full programme detail lives on our NDIS Physiotherapy page.
For a workplace injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval 22498, which covers direct WorkCover claims, so treatment can be billed through the claim rather than out of your pocket. To get started, we need a referral from your doctor and a copy of your Certificate of Capacity. The full process, including CTP claims, is set out on our WorkCover & CTP Physiotherapy page.
FAQs
What does mobile physiotherapy mean?
It means the physiotherapist travels to you instead of you travelling to a clinic. We come to your home, your workplace or wherever suits, with the assessment and treatment equipment needed to run a proper session, and treat you there. You don't need to own any equipment or clear a room.
Is physiotherapy fully covered by Medicare?
For most people, no. Medicare doesn't cover physiotherapy in full. There's a GP-managed care-plan pathway that can subsidise a limited number of sessions in a calendar year, and a gap payment usually still applies. The plan covers up to 5 sessions per calendar year, or up to 10 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 6. NDIS and WorkCover are different: for eligible participants and accepted claims, those routes can cover mobile sessions without a gap.
Does Well Motion have a clinic in Liverpool?
No. There's no Well Motion clinic or reception you can walk into in Liverpool. Everything we offer here is delivered as a mobile or in-home visit, from our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics. If you'd prefer to be seen in a clinic, contact us and we'll tell you which one is easiest for you to get to.
Which suburbs does this page cover?
Liverpool itself. Casula, Moorebank, Prestons, Leppington, Lurnea and Middleton Grange each have their own page now, so you get detail written for your area rather than a list with your suburb buried in it.
Do I need a referral for NDIS physiotherapy in Liverpool?
You don't need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist privately in Australia. What matters for NDIS work is that physiotherapy is funded in your plan and that the funding is managed in a way we can invoice against. If you're unsure, contact us with your plan details and we'll check.
Is there a physio open on Sunday in Liverpool?
Yes. Our after-hours emergency service comes to you in Liverpool on Sundays and public holidays, and the phone is answered 24/7 on (02) 8111 5633. Regular mobile visits are booked ahead.
