Mobile Physiotherapy in Fairfield

You shouldn't have to drive across Sydney to get proper physiotherapy. Well Motion covers Fairfield and the surrounding Fairfield LGA in South West Sydney as a mobile, home-visit service: the same structured, root-cause approach our patients get in-clinic, brought to your lounge room, your workplace or your local oval instead.

Fairfield households are among the most multilingual and most multi-generational in Sydney. At the 2021 Census the LGA had 208,475 residents, a median age of 39, and an average household size of 3.2 people, bigger than the Greater Sydney average. More than one in five residents speak Vietnamese at home, and Arabic and Assyrian Neo-Aramaic are the next two most-spoken languages after English.1 That shapes how we work here. Often it's a grandparent managing long-standing knee or back pain, a parent back at work too early after an injury, and a teenager waiting on a sports rehab plan, same house, sometimes the same week.

So we explain things in plain terms, without the clinical shorthand, and we build one plan that fits how your household runs: exercises that work in a shared lounge room, not a gym, scheduled around who's home and when.

There's no Well Motion clinic, reception or walk-in address anywhere in Fairfield; our clinics are in Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin. Fairfield is covered entirely by our mobile physiotherapy service, with 24/7 emergency mobile physiotherapy available across Sydney when something can't wait until morning.

Areas We Cover

Fairfield, Fairfield Heights, Fairfield West, Fairfield East, Canley Vale, Canley Heights, Prairiewood, Smithfield, Bossley Park, St Johns Park, Bonnyrigg, Villawood, Carramar, Lansvale, Yennora and Greenfield Park.

Several suburbs in the Fairfield LGA now have their own coverage pages with detail specific to each: Cabramatta, Wetherill Park, Cecil Hills, Edensor Park, Abbotsbury, Horsley Park and Green Valley. Further out (toward Liverpool, Parramatta or Blacktown) the full list is on our service areas page.

When we can get to you depends on where you are and what's already booked that day. Tell us your suburb and what's going on when you get in touch, and we'll tell you what we can do and when.

NDIS & WorkCover Support

NDIS. Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT). We work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants across Fairfield, in their own homes, and we handle the paperwork, so it isn't left with you or your support coordinator.

If you're newer to the scheme locally, Local Area Coordination here is delivered by Settlement Services International for participants aged 9 to 64,3 from an office at 7 William Street, Fairfield NSW 2165, open Monday to Thursday.2 Your coordinator helps you understand and use your plan. That service is free, and entirely separate from us.

For participant and support-coordinator detail specific to this area, see NDIS Physiotherapy Fairfield, or NDIS physiotherapy for how it works with us more generally.

WorkCover. A lot of the work around here is physical: manufacturing, warehousing and transport, with the Smithfield-Wetherill Park industrial estate inside the LGA. That shows up as shoulders, lower backs and repetitive strain rather than sports injuries.

Ahmed Elsayed's SIRA approval number is 22498, which covers direct WorkCover claims. You don't need a separate referral to start, and we can see you at home or at your workplace, which matters when the injury is the reason getting to a clinic is hard in the first place.

FAQs

Can I get five free physiotherapy visits from Medicare?

Not quite. Medicare's GP chronic condition management plan pathway lets a GP refer you for a set number of allied health sessions each calendar year, but it pays a rebate, not the full fee. There's usually still a gap. Only your GP can decide whether you're eligible, set the referral up, and tell you how many sessions it covers. If cost is the deciding factor, ask us before you book. We'd rather point you toward the right funding pathway than have you start something you can't finish.

How much does an hour of physiotherapy cost?

It depends on how it's funded, and for a lot of people in Fairfield it isn't paid out of pocket at all. If you're an NDIS participant, physiotherapy comes out of your plan. If you were hurt at work, a WorkCover claim covers it. If you're managing a chronic condition, a GP care plan gives you a Medicare rebate on part of it. Get in touch and we'll tell you the current fee and what your pathway would leave you paying. Fairfield Hospital also runs a public outpatient physiotherapy department4; we have no affiliation with it, but if a public waiting list suits you better than a private fee, it's an option.

Do you come to my home in Fairfield, or do I have to travel to a clinic?

We come to you. There's no Well Motion address in Fairfield to travel to: the nearest clinics are Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin, all a real drive from here, which is why Fairfield is a mobile service. A visit needs about as much room as a clear patch of lounge room floor; we bring the table, the hands-on treatment and whatever equipment the session calls for. Family are welcome to sit in, and often that helps, particularly when someone else in the house will be helping with the exercises between visits.

Can I use my NDIS plan for physiotherapy at home in Fairfield?

Yes. Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT), so plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants can all use us, and home visits are the standard way we deliver in Fairfield. NDIS Physiotherapy Fairfield covers the participant and support-coordinator detail: what we need from your plan, how reporting works, and how to get the first visit booked.

Tell us your suburb and what's going on, and we'll tell you honestly whether a home visit is the right call.
