Mobile Physiotherapy Cabramatta
Mobile Physiotherapy in Cabramatta
Getting to the appointment shouldn't be the hardest part of your recovery. Well Motion covers Cabramatta (postcode 2166 4, in the Fairfield LGA 3) as a mobile, home-visit service: the same structured, root-cause assessment our patients get in clinic, brought to wherever you're managing the injury.
There's no Well Motion clinic, reception or walk-in address in Cabramatta. Our clinics are in Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin, all a fair drive from here, which is why this suburb is covered by our mobile physiotherapy service instead. 24/7 emergency mobile physiotherapy is available across Sydney when something can't wait until morning.
Cabramatta is one of the most established and most diverse communities in Sydney. At the 2021 Census the suburb had 21,142 residents and a median age of 40, and 71.4% were born overseas: 37.6% in Vietnam, 8.0% in Cambodia and 4.0% in China. Just 12.7% of residents speak English only at home 1.
That changes how we explain things here, and it should. No clinical shorthand, no rushed handover of an exercise sheet on the way out. Family are welcome to sit in and ask questions. Often that's what makes the difference, since the person helping between visits is usually someone else in the house.
Your program gets built around what you've got access to. If that's a bit of floor and a kitchen chair, we'll work with that. If you use Cabravale Leisure Centre on Broomfield Street (the Council gym with the heated indoor program pool 2), we can build the plan around what's there instead. We've no affiliation with the centre; it's just a real local option.
Areas We Cover
Cabramatta, Cabramatta West, Canley Vale and Canley Heights.
Nearly four in ten homes here are flats or apartments: 38.7%, against 21.7% across NSW 1. In practice that just means telling us a few things up front: whether there are stairs, whether the lift is working, and where we can park. We'd much rather plan around a tight space than discover it on the day.
Neighbouring areas have their own coverage pages (Fairfield and Liverpool), and the full list is on our service areas page. When we can get to you depends on where you are and what's already booked that day. Tell us your suburb and what's going on when you get in touch, and we'll be straight about what we can do and when.
NDIS & WorkCover Support
NDIS. Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider, provider number 4-KPN4WRT. We work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants in their own homes across Cabramatta, and we handle the paperwork rather than leaving it sitting with you or your support coordinator.
There's a real need for it locally. 14.6% of residents are aged 65 or over, and 8.9% of those aged 15 and above were providing unpaid assistance to someone with a disability, a health condition, or because of age 1. A lot of care here already happens at home, provided by family; home visits fit alongside that rather than cutting across it.
For how it works with us more generally, see NDIS physiotherapy.
WorkCover. Work in Cabramatta is physical to an unusual degree. 19.2% of employed residents are labourers and another 17.0% are machinery operators and drivers, 36.2% between them, against 14.2% across NSW 1. That shows up as lower backs, shoulders and repetitive strain far more often than as sports injuries.
Ahmed Elsayed's SIRA approval number is 22498, which covers direct WorkCover claims. You don't need a separate referral to get started, and we can see you at home or at your workplace, which matters most when the injury is the reason getting to a clinic is hard.
FAQs
Do physios come to the house?
Yes, and in Cabramatta it's the only way we work, because there's no Well Motion address here to travel to. We bring the table, the hands-on treatment and whatever equipment the session calls for, and you need about as much room as a clear patch of lounge room floor. Sessions can run at your workplace instead if that suits better.
How much does an hour of physiotherapy cost?
It depends less on the clock than on how it's funded, and for a lot of people here it isn't paid out of pocket at all. If you're an NDIS participant, physiotherapy comes out of your plan. If you were hurt at work, a WorkCover claim covers it. If you're managing a long-term condition, a GP care plan gives you a Medicare rebate on part of the fee. Get in touch and we'll tell you the current fee and what your pathway would leave you paying.
Is physiotherapy fully covered by Medicare?
Not fully, no, even though "free physio on Medicare" is how it usually gets described online. Medicare's GP chronic condition management plan pathway lets a GP refer you for a set number of allied health sessions each calendar year, and it pays a rebate rather than the whole fee, so there's normally still a gap. Your GP decides whether you're eligible and sets the referral up. If cost is what's deciding this for you, ask us before you book. We'd rather point you to the right pathway than have you start something you can't finish.
Can a physiotherapist visit me in a unit or apartment?
Yes, and it's normal here. Stairs, a small lounge room or awkward parking don't stop a session happening; they just change how we plan it. Mention them when you book and we'll allow the right amount of time.
Can I use my NDIS plan for physiotherapy at home in Cabramatta?
Yes. Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT), so plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants can all use us, and home visits are the standard way we deliver here. NDIS physiotherapy covers the participant and support-coordinator detail, and how to get the first visit booked.
