Mobile Physiotherapy in Lurnea
Lurnea sits right against Liverpool (close enough to share its postcode, 2170), with Hoxton Park Road linking it to Liverpool 4,8. Well Motion doesn't run a walk-in clinic here. We come to you: a physiotherapist arrives with the equipment a proper session needs, and works through the same structured, root-cause approach our patients get in our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics.
It's a young suburb: around 10,057 residents, a median age of 32 against 39 for NSW, and an average household of 3.2 people 1. Most homes here have more than one person's week to work around, so we build sessions around shift rosters and school pick-ups.
What a home visit in Lurnea looks like
A first visit runs like a full clinic appointment, just in your space. We talk through what happened and what you're trying to get back to, assess properly, treat hands-on where that's the right call, and leave you with a plan you can carry out between sessions, not a printout of generic exercises.
Access is the one local detail worth sorting first. About three-quarters of homes here are separate houses, but more than one in five is a semi-detached house, terrace or townhouse 1. If yours has a shared driveway, a narrow access way or internal stairs, tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
Full service detail is on our Mobile & In-Home Physiotherapy page. Outside normal hours, our 24/7 emergency mobile service covers Sydney, Lurnea included.
Around Phillips Park
Phillips Park on Hill Road is Lurnea's main council-owned park 4. Liverpool City Council built a recreation hub there with more than $12 million from the Western Parkland City Liveability Program 2, and the grounds include a dual soccer and cricket oval 5. It's a live competition venue: the Liverpool district football association lists FC Bossy Liverpool playing home fixtures there 6. The Lurnea Community Hub sits in the same park, with wheelchair access 3.
That shapes what we see locally. Weekend soccer produces a predictable set of problems: rolled ankles, hamstrings that go in the last twenty minutes, knees that swell two days later. A high school and a primary school in the suburb 7 add school sport and sudden training-load jumps on top. None of it needs a clinic to assess; it needs looking at early, before "I'll run it off" turns into six weeks.
Areas We Cover
Lurnea itself, postcode 2170: the streets around Phillips Park and Hill Road, the Hoxton Park Road edge, and down towards the Liverpool boundary.
If you're closer to the Liverpool centre, our Liverpool coverage page has detail for that area. You can see everywhere we travel on our service areas page.
NDIS & WorkCover Support
Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider, provider number 4-KPN4WRT. We work with participants and support coordinators directly, and with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed funding.
There's a local reason to spell that out. At the last census, 892 Lurnea residents (11.8% of the suburb) had provided unpaid assistance to someone with a disability, a health condition or because of age in the previous fortnight 1. Roughly one household in eight. A physiotherapist coming to the house removes the part that most often derails a program: getting there. Full detail is on our NDIS Physiotherapy page.
For a workplace injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval 22498, covering direct WorkCover claims, so treatment is billed through an accepted claim, not out of your pocket. That comes up a lot here: machinery operators and drivers are Lurnea's largest occupation group at 15.1%, ahead of professionals, with trades workers and labourers close behind 1. The full process, including CTP claims, is on our WorkCover & CTP Physiotherapy page.
One practical note: only about a third of Lurnea households use English only at home, and Arabic is spoken at home by nearly a third of residents 1. If English isn't your most comfortable language, tell us. We'll go slower, write the plan down, and you're welcome to have a family member in the session.
FAQs
What does a mobile physiotherapy session cost?
A home visit is priced as a standard physiotherapy consultation. What you pay depends mostly on how it's funded. For eligible NDIS participants and accepted WorkCover claims, sessions can be covered with no gap; with a GP care plan, Medicare rebates part of the cost and a gap usually remains. The price of a mobile visit depends on your location and when the visit happens: during business hours, on a weekend or on a public holiday. For NDIS participants, sessions are priced within the NDIS pricing guidelines, and a travel fee and travel time also apply. Contact us and we'll tell you what your session will cost before you book.
Can I get five free physiotherapy sessions in Australia?
Not free: subsidised. A GP-managed chronic condition care plan can cover part of the cost of a limited number of allied health sessions each calendar year, and a gap usually still applies. The plan covers up to 5 sessions per calendar year, or up to 10 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 9. NDIS and WorkCover are different: for eligible participants and accepted claims, those can cover sessions with no gap.
Does Well Motion have a clinic in Lurnea?
No, there's no clinic or reception you can walk into here. Everything is delivered as a mobile or in-home visit, from our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics. If you'd prefer a clinic, contact us and we'll tell you which is closest.
Do I need a referral for NDIS physiotherapy in Lurnea?
No, you don't need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist privately in Australia. What matters is that physiotherapy is funded in your plan, and managed in a way we can invoice against. Contact us with your plan details and we'll check.
Can you bill WorkCover directly for a home visit in Lurnea?
Yes, where the claim has been accepted. Ahmed Elsayed's SIRA approval (22498) covers direct WorkCover claims, so treatment is billed through the claim rather than paid by you and reimbursed. Bring your claim number to the first session.
