Mobile Physiotherapy in Gregory Hills

You booked the appointment. Then the baby's nap moved, the pick-up run came around, and the whole thing quietly went into the too-hard basket. That's the most common reason we hear for a rehab plan stalling in Gregory Hills: not the injury, the logistics. So we do the travelling instead.

Well Motion brings mobile physiotherapy to Gregory Hills. We assess and treat you in your lounge room, the garage gym, the back yard or your workplace, using the same structured, root-cause approach we use in our Mount Annan and Narellan clinics. Both of those are next door, so if you'd rather come in, Mount Annan and Narellan are both close by.

Gregory Hills sits in the Camden local government area, in Sydney's Macarthur region 2. It's a young suburb in the literal sense. Across the combined Gledswood Hills-Gregory Hills area the median age is 30, against 39 for New South Wales, and 13.0% of residents are children under five, more than double the 5.8% recorded for both the state and the country. Six in ten families here are couples with children, where fewer than half are across NSW 1.

That shapes what a home visit here usually involves. Postnatal and pelvic health work. Paediatric sessions where a child is comfortable, on their own floor, with their own toys. Backs and shoulders belonging to people who spend the week at a desk or behind a wheel and the weekend carrying a toddler. Post-surgical rehabilitation, sports and musculoskeletal injuries, and complex or neurological care as well. The full picture of how a visit runs is on our mobile physiotherapy page.

Areas We Cover

Gregory Hills, plus the surrounding growth-corridor streets: Gledswood Hills, Smeaton Grange, Currans Hill and Kirkham. If you're giving us directions, the Gregory Hills Community Centre on Kavanagh Street 3 and the town centre on Village Circuit 4 are the two landmarks everyone knows, and Gregory Hills Drive and Lasso Road get us most of the way to most addresses.

Three neighbouring suburbs now have their own coverage pages with detail specific to them: Harrington Park, Oran Park and Catherine Field. For everywhere else we reach across South-West Sydney and the Macarthur region, see the full service areas list.

One practical note about timing. Most of what we do here is booked in advance, around school runs and shift work. But things don't always break down between nine and five: a back that seizes on a Sunday night, a post-operative setback that can't wait until Monday. For those, our 24/7 emergency mobile physiotherapy service covers this area. If something is serious, an emergency department is still the right call, and we'll tell you so rather than talk you into a booking.

NDIS & WorkCover Support

Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT). That's a business-wide registration, not a Gregory Hills-specific one, and it means we can work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants here. Sessions run wherever they're most useful (at home, at school, or alongside a day program), and we handle the provider paperwork so your support coordinator isn't chasing it. How plans and funding work in practice is set out on our NDIS physiotherapy page.

One thing to be clear on: Gregory Hills isn't a suburb with unusually high reported health need. Only 6.1% of residents across this area report a long-term health condition, below the 7.8% figure for New South Wales 1. We're not going to dress that up into a story about demand. What we can tell you is that if you or your child is one of those people, the registration is real and the coverage is here; you don't have to travel out of the area to use it.

For a workplace injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval number 22498 for the NSW workers compensation scheme. That approval belongs to him as an individual practitioner rather than to the business, and it's checkable on SIRA's public register if you'd like to look before you book. How the claims side works (including what happens before an insurer approves treatment) is covered on our WorkCover & CTP physiotherapy page.

FAQs

Can you have physio at home?

Yes. A home visit is a full physiotherapy appointment (assessment, hands-on treatment, and an exercise plan) delivered wherever you are instead of in a clinic room. We bring the treatment table and equipment with us. Nothing about the standard of the assessment changes; what changes is that we get to see the stairs, the bed, the desk and the car that your body deals with every day, which usually makes for a better plan.

How much does a home visit physiotherapy cost?

A home visit is priced differently to a clinic appointment, because travel sits on top of the treatment hour rather than inside it. The price of a mobile visit depends on your location and when the visit happens: during business hours, on a weekend or on a public holiday. For NDIS participants, sessions are priced within the NDIS pricing guidelines, and a travel fee and travel time also apply. If your sessions are funded through an NDIS plan or an accepted workers compensation claim, you generally won't be paying out of pocket at all. It depends on your address and your funding situation, so get in touch and we'll give you the exact figure before you commit to anything.

How to get free physio sessions?

"Free" usually means "funded by something other than you." There are three realistic routes here. An NDIS plan can fund physiotherapy where it's written into your supports; we're a registered provider (4-KPN4WRT), so we can bill it directly. An accepted workers compensation claim covers treatment for a work-related injury, and Ahmed's SIRA approval (22498) lets him treat under the NSW scheme. And your GP can tell you whether a Medicare referral pathway applies to you; that one depends on your circumstances, so ask them rather than assuming either way. We're happy to talk through which of those fits your situation before anyone books a session.

Is it worth paying for private physio?

That depends on what you're weighing it against. Paying privately usually buys you two things: you're seen sooner, and you get continuity: the same physiotherapist across the whole recovery rather than a new face each visit. It also means the plan is built around your goals, not a funding body's categories. If you're unsure whether your problem needs hands-on treatment at all, ring us and describe it. We'd rather tell you it'll settle on its own than sell you six sessions you don't need.
