Mobile Physiotherapy in Oran Park

We don't have a reception desk in Oran Park. What we have is a physiotherapist who drives to your front door.

Well Motion brings mobile physiotherapy into Oran Park (your lounge room, your workplace, or the sideline at training), using the same structured, root-cause approach as our Mount Annan and Narellan clinics, both a short drive up the road. Two nearby clinics, one mobile team. Not a third branch pretending to be local.

Oran Park is young in a way almost nowhere else in Sydney is. At the 2021 Census it had 17,624 residents and a median age of 30, against 39 across New South Wales and 38 nationally 1. That shapes what we drive out to: growing bodies, first serious sporting injuries, and new parents with backs that have had enough.

You can see it in the schools. Oran Park Public School opened a Stage 2 upgrade on Day 1 of Term 1, 2024 to take a growing student community, and runs 50 mainstream classes alongside eight support classes 2. Oran Park Anglican College runs Prep to Year 12 on Peter Brock Drive 3. If your child has funded supports or a goal tied to school, we can work where it makes sense: at home after school, or alongside what's already happening in class. Our paediatric physiotherapy page explains how those sessions run.

You can see it on the fields too. Doohan Reserve on Skaife Street is a 10.4-hectare precinct that reconfigures into four rugby league or soccer fields, or two cricket and AFL ovals, and includes an all-abilities playground 5. More than 30 clubs serve the suburb, from Auskick and Rovers FC to the Oran Park-Gregory Hills league clubs, Camden Cats AFL, Oztag and BMX 6. Through winter, a fair share of what we treat here comes straight off that grass.

At the other end of the age range, Oran Park Village is a retirement living community of 132 residences with Barry Marsh House, a residential aged care home, on the same site 4. In-reach physiotherapy, mobility work and falls prevention matter as much in a brand-new suburb as an established one.

Treating you where you live means we see the actual stairs, the actual chair and the actual doorway, which makes the plan we build with you more useful. Our mobile physiotherapy page shows how a visit runs.

Areas We Cover

Oran Park. This page covers the suburb itself: the town centre, the surrounding estates, and the streets still being finished.

If you're in Camden, Camden South or Elderslie, that pocket has its own coverage page. For everywhere else we reach across South-West Sydney and the Macarthur region, see the full service areas list.

One note about after hours. Camden Hospital's emergency department is open 24/7, but it's small (eight beds within a 48-bed department shared with Campbelltown), and it is self-presenting only, with no ambulance attendances 7. For anything serious, an emergency department is still the right call. For the in-between problems (a back that's seized overnight, a post-operative setback on a Sunday night), our 24/7 emergency mobile physiotherapy service covers this area.

NDIS & WorkCover Support

Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT): a business-wide registration, not an Oran Park-specific one. We work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants here, wherever sessions are most useful to you: at home, at school, or alongside a day program. We handle the provider paperwork so your support coordinator doesn't have to chase it. There's more on our NDIS physiotherapy page.

If you're still working out what your plan can fund, you don't have to work it out alone. Oran Park sits inside the Camden local government area, covered by the South West Sydney Local Area Coordination partnership that Settlement Services International delivers for the NDIA, with an office in Narellan 8. Their line is 1800 960 975, and a Local Area Coordinator can talk through what your plan covers before you commit to anything with us.

For a workplace injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval number 22498 for the NSW workers compensation scheme. That approval belongs to him as an individual practitioner, not to the clinic. Plenty of people here work in trades and construction, and manual-handling strain is part of what we see. How the claims side works is set out on our WorkCover & CTP physiotherapy page.

FAQs

What is the average cost of a physiotherapy session in Australia?

A home visit is priced differently to a clinic appointment, because the travel sits on top of the treatment hour rather than inside it. The price of a mobile visit depends on your location and when the visit happens: during business hours, on a weekend or on a public holiday. For NDIS participants, sessions are priced within the NDIS pricing guidelines, and a travel fee and travel time also apply. If your sessions are funded through an NDIS plan or an accepted workers compensation claim, you generally won't be paying out of pocket at all. Rather than quote you an industry average, get in touch and we'll give you the exact figure for your address and funding before you book.

What's the difference between a physio and an exercise physiologist?

Both use exercise, so the overlap is real, but the starting points differ. A physiotherapist assesses and diagnoses the problem (joint, muscle, nerve or movement) and treats it directly, combining hands-on work with graded exercise from the acute stage on. An accredited exercise physiologist specialises in prescribing exercise as the treatment itself, most often for chronic conditions and longer-term management. Plenty of people see both. Your GP is the right person to confirm which funding pathways you're eligible for.

What are the three types of physio?

There's no official list of three, but physiotherapy is usually grouped by what's being treated. Musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy covers joints, muscles and tendons. Neurological physiotherapy works with the brain, spinal cord and nerves. Cardiorespiratory or chest physiotherapy works with breathing and lung function. Paediatric physiotherapy is often counted as a fourth, and given how young this suburb is, it's the one we're asked about most here.

What is a red flag in physiotherapy?

A red flag is a sign or symptom suggesting something other than a straightforward musculoskeletal problem, something needing medical assessment rather than hands-on treatment. Physiotherapists screen for these at the first appointment. If you have unexplained weight loss, fever, pain that's unrelenting at night or unchanged by position, loss of bladder or bowel control, or new numbness or weakness spreading through a limb, please seek urgent medical review rather than booking a physio session first. If that appears while you're already with us, we'll stop and refer you on.
