Mobile Physiotherapy in Harrington Park
If you've looked up Well Motion's Narellan clinic and noticed the address is a Harrington Park street, you've read it correctly. The clinic sits inside Narellan Central Medical Centre at 22 Sharman Close, Harrington Park NSW 2567 3. One clinic, one address. We call it Narellan because Narellan is the area it serves.
Which means Harrington Park is the one suburb where you get to choose: come to the Narellan clinic, or have us come to you. Every other area we cover is home visits only. Here both are real options, and neither is the fallback.
Most people here choose the home visit, and the housing is part of why. Harrington Park is almost entirely separate houses: 97.8% of occupied private dwellings, with flats at 0.3% 1. That usually means a driveway to park in, a step-free entry, and a garage, hallway or back yard we can set your program up in. The rehab that works is the rehab you keep doing between sessions, and it's easier to build once we've stood in the space.
It's a young suburb, too. Around 13,332 people, a median age of 35, and 24.4% of residents aged under 15, with 64.6% of families being couple families with children 1. That's roughly four times the population of Narellan proper and noticeably younger: 13.9% of Narellan's residents are under 15 2. Growing knees and ankles, weekend netball, and parents managing their own backs while carrying everyone else's gear are ordinary reasons people book us.
A lot of that activity has one address. Harrington Park Reserve on Fairwater Drive runs two full-sized fields, a synthetic cricket pitch and two multipurpose courts used for netball and, usefully for us, a walking track looping Harrington Lake 4. If you're rebuilding walking tolerance after surgery or a lower-limb injury, a flat, measurable loop close to home beats a treadmill, and we'll often build your program around it. Harrington Park Public School has been here since 2002 5, and school sport keeps young athletes coming through.
How a home visit runs (what we bring, how long it takes, what the first session covers) is set out on our mobile physiotherapy page. For what won't wait until Monday, like a back that's seized overnight or a post-operative setback on a Sunday evening, our 24/7 emergency mobile physiotherapy service covers this area too.
Areas We Cover
Harrington Park: the whole suburb, for home visits, and the suburb the Narellan clinic sits in.
If you'd rather be seen in a treatment room, with a GP, podiatrist or exercise physiologist in the same building, the Narellan clinic page has the address, hours and everything else you'd want before booking; the centre describes itself as wheelchair friendly 3. If getting out of the house is the hard part (after surgery, with a young family, or when the pain is worst first thing), we come to you instead. Same physiotherapist, same assessment, same plan.
Plenty of Harrington Park patients live on the boundary with Narellan, Narellan Vale, Currans Hill or Mount Annan, and we cover all of them. For the full picture across South-West Sydney and the Macarthur region, see the service areas list.
NDIS & WorkCover Support
Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT). That's a business-wide registration, not a Harrington Park-specific one, and it means we can work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants here: at home, at school, or alongside a day program. We handle the provider paperwork so your support coordinator doesn't have to chase it. What physiotherapy under a plan usually looks like is on our NDIS physiotherapy page.
Supported Independent Living is part of the picture here: there's a four-bedroom SIL home operating in Harrington Park 6. If you coordinate supports for someone living there, or anywhere locally, a physiotherapist who attends the house rather than arranging transport is often the difference between a plan being used and a plan sitting unspent. Still working out what your plan can fund? Harrington Park sits within the Camden LGA, where Settlement Services International delivers Local Area Coordination on behalf of the NDIA 7; a coordinator can talk it through before you commit to anything with us.
For a work injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval number 22498, covering NSW workers compensation and CTP claims. That approval belongs to him as an individual practitioner rather than to the business.
The injuries we see here aren't the ones people picture when they hear "workers compensation". Harrington Park's working population is weighted towards professional, managerial and clerical roles, so what turns up is necks, shoulders and lower backs loaded the same way at a desk for years, alongside manual handling strains from the retail and logistics employers nearby. Those claims are every bit as legitimate as a lifting injury on site, and they're usually left longer.
FAQs
How much does a physio appointment cost?
A home visit is priced differently to a clinic appointment, because travel sits on top of the treatment hour rather than inside it. The price of a mobile visit depends on your location and when the visit happens: during business hours, on a weekend or on a public holiday. For NDIS participants, sessions are priced within the NDIS pricing guidelines, and a travel fee and travel time also apply. If your sessions are funded through NDIS or an accepted workers compensation claim, you generally won't pay out of pocket. If you have private health extras, tell us when you book and we'll confirm how to claim before your first session; get in touch and we'll give you the figure for your address and funding situation up front.
Can I get 5 free physiotherapy visits from Medicare?
Not quite, and here's why. Medicare doesn't cover physiotherapy routinely. There is a pathway (the GP chronic condition management plan) where your GP prepares a plan and refers you, subsidising a capped number of allied health visits per calendar year. Three things to know: it's designed for ongoing conditions rather than a one-off strain, your GP decides whether you're eligible, and the rebate is a subsidy rather than full cover, so there can still be a gap. Ask your GP whether a plan suits you, and we'll tell you what it would leave you paying.
What's a red flag in physiotherapy?
It's a sign that what you're describing might not be a musculoskeletal problem at all: something needing a doctor, imaging or an emergency department rather than a treatment plan. Screening for them is routine in any first assessment, and that doesn't change because we're in your lounge room instead of a clinic. If something turns up, we'll tell you straight away and help you get to the right person. Being sent elsewhere isn't a wasted appointment; it's the appointment doing its job.
