Mobile Physiotherapy Mount Vernon

If you live in Mount Vernon, there's no physiotherapist down the road, and no medical centre either. A NSW Government assessment of the Mamre Road corridor puts it plainly: "Mount Vernon is not serviced by any healthcare and/or emergency services" 2. For an injury needing assessment and then regular follow-up, that means driving somewhere else, repeatedly, in the week you're least able to drive.

Well Motion doesn't have a clinic here. We come to you instead. A physiotherapist arrives with the equipment a real session needs, and works the same way we do in our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics.

What a mobile visit out here looks like

A first visit runs like a full clinic appointment, just in your own space. We talk through what happened and what you want to get back to, assess properly, treat hands-on where that's the right call, and leave you with a plan for between sessions.

Access is simple here. Of the 313 occupied private dwellings counted at the last Census, 309 (98.7%) are separate houses 1: a driveway and a front door, no intercom code, no lift to book.

The travelling is the part worth removing. The study area Mount Vernon belongs to has no rail services and only a handful of bus routes, and households average 2.7 vehicles each 2, a fair measure of how much getting anywhere depends on being well enough to drive. When that's the injured person, a home visit can decide whether a rehab program gets finished at all.

Full detail is on our Mobile & In-Home Physiotherapy page. Our 24/7 after-hours emergency mobile service covers Mount Vernon too.

Staying steady and independent at home

Mount Vernon is small (around 1,235 people across 331 private dwellings 1) and older than most of south-west Sydney, with 15.5% of residents aged 65 or over 2.

That changes what physiotherapy is usually for out here. Less "get me back on the field this season," more staying steady on uneven ground, rebuilding strength after an illness or a hospital stay, and getting confident on stairs and around a property again. If a fall or a near-miss is what's worrying you, our falls prevention work is built around that.

Assessing it in the actual house beats assessing it in a clinic: we see the real step, the real bathroom, the real gravel drive you cross every day.

If you got hurt on a Mamre Road worksite

Mamre Road runs past Mount Vernon, and the corridor along it is being rebuilt. Stage 2 of the upgrade runs between Erskine Park Road and Kerrs Road, Kemps Creek, supporting employment growth in the Mamre Road Precinct, an area planned for warehousing, logistics and industrial development 2.

That work carries a recognisable injury pattern: repeated lifting, twisting under load, long hours on concrete or in a cab, and the lower back, shoulder and knee problems that follow. They rarely start with one dramatic moment. They build, get worked through, then stop you. If it happened at work, treatment is usually billed through the claim, and the visit can happen at home after a shift.

Areas We Cover

Mount Vernon itself, postcode 2178 5, in the City of Penrith local government area 4: the acreage properties and rural-residential streets east of Mamre Road 2.

Kemps Creek and Horsley Park each have their own coverage page. We also travel to Cecil Park, directly south, and across to the Saxony Road end of Horsley Park, where the Sydney International Equestrian Centre sits on 96 hectares of parkland 3. Everywhere else we travel is on our service areas page.

NDIS & WorkCover Support

Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider, provider number 4-KPN4WRT, working with participants and support coordinators directly across plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed funding. For a participant on an acreage property with no health service in the suburb and limited public transport 2, a mobile session removes the transport problem rather than working around it. Full detail is on our NDIS Physiotherapy page.

For a workplace injury, Ahmed Elsayed holds SIRA approval 22498, covering direct WorkCover claims, so treatment can be billed through the claim rather than paid up front. To get started, we need a referral from your doctor and a copy of your Certificate of Capacity. The full process, including CTP claims, is on our WorkCover & CTP Physiotherapy page.

FAQs

Do you need a referral to see a physio in NSW?

Not to book with us privately. You can arrange a mobile visit directly, without seeing a GP first. Funding routes vary: a Medicare-subsidised care plan comes from your GP, and NDIS or WorkCover sessions depend on your plan or claim.

Can I do physiotherapy at home on my own?

Exercises you've been given, yes: most of your progress happens between sessions. But that isn't a physiotherapy appointment. A home visit means someone assesses you in person, works out what's driving the problem, treats hands-on where that helps, and adjusts the program as you change.

Will the NDIS pay for physio?

It can, where physiotherapy sits in your plan. Well Motion is a registered NDIS provider (4-KPN4WRT), so we can invoice against plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed funding. Detail is on our NDIS Physiotherapy page.

How much is an hour of physiotherapy?

It depends which route applies. A private session can usually be claimed against private health extras cover; an NDIS-funded session is invoiced against your plan; an accepted WorkCover claim is billed through the claim. Contact us and we'll tell you what applies before you book.

Does Well Motion have a clinic in Mount Vernon?

No, and neither does anyone else. A NSW Government assessment records that the suburb has no healthcare or emergency services at all 2. Everything we do here is a mobile or in-home visit, run out of our Engadine, Mount Annan, Narellan/Harrington Park and Appin clinics.
